So I have been hearing a lot of Egypt bashing on the blogosphere, the media and many morons across the middle east... from open calls by terrorists for Egyptian regime change, to mobs in Yemen occupying our embassy and putting a Palestenian flag on top of it... to bigots killing our soldiers in Cold blood on the border... so instead of getting angry I though I would give reason a shot....
ok.. so lets assume the Egyptian dictator listens to what you morons are calling for... you know an open unregulated border... a few things would happen:
1- 100 000s of Palestinians will take refuge in Sinai... right and we will save their lives. except as what happened before with Lebanon and Jordan those refugees were never able to go back home. They lost their lands before and now will be losing their refugee camps. Gaza will then either be annexed by Israel or by Egypt resulting in the splitting of the Palestinian cause and now we start negotiating a 3 state solution.
2- Now for the impact on Egypt, 100 000s of radicalized, Iran funded families will further integrate with the Egyptian society resulting in yet more radicalization of the Egyptian population.... not to mention our government can't even feed its 80 million but let a lone the new 100 000s. Then you can imagine the economic impact on tourism in Sinai... etc...
3- Ofcourse we can not forget about that over radicalized idiot thinking his a hero will go and smuggle some big ass bombs, guns and or rockets through the border from Egypt to Gaza/Israel (you know now that we taken down the only barrier and logistical complications of tunnels) and will take it and fire it in Southern Israel. Impact on Egypt, direct confrontation with Israel that it doesn't want or need.
So please fuck off and maybe just maybe start using your mutated cells you call a brain before saying such idiotic things.
Egypts role in this is limited to
1) Facilitating communication between the Palestinian factions and the Israelis with an objective of finding a 2 state solution.
2) Providing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza after actually searching and expecting every item crossing the border from Egypt to Gaza.
3) Providing access to hospitals for Palestinian civilians that are critically injured.
If you have a scenario that you think I missed feel free to add it below....
